Bellingham - The Bellingham boy's and girl's distance teams won a total of 5 races yesterday in the final regular season meet of year against Ferndale and Sehome at Civic Stadium yesterday.
Senior Cade Brown won 2 of the 5 races on the boy's side winning the 800 and 3200 in times of 2:02.63 and 10:20.57. Timothy Crabtree won the 1600 running 4:47.26, a personal best for him.
The Bellingham girl's got wins out of Grace Much in the 800 and Edie Braimes in the 1600. Much ran a personal best, 2:27.02, while Braimes ran a season best, 5:44.6.
Other top performers from Bellingham were Ty Velhuisen in the 800, John Johnson in the 1600, and Kaelyn Devaney in the 1600.
Ferndale's Landon Sturdevant and Eric Maldonado were the Eagles top runners on the boys side. Sturdevant finished 2nd in the 3200 running 10:39.35, while Maldonado finished 3rd in the 1600 with a time of 4:50.57. Jaclyn Denham from the Ferndale girl's team placed 2nd in the 800.
Rosie Kirker of Sehome was the Mariners lone winner for both teams as she won the 3200 in 12:23.08. Josh Frazier (800) and Roman Schroyer (1600) both ran personal best times and were Sehome's top boy's.
