Colville Girl's Win Ezra Gordon Invite

Colville, WA - With a total of 148 points scored, the Colville girl's track and field team won the Ezra Gordon Invite title on their home track yesterday, May 4, against 13 other schools.

Alaina Stone captured two wins for the Indians in the girl's 1,600 and 3,200 meter races running times of 5:21.75 and 11:21.21.


With these two wins, Stone remains undefeated in the 1,600 and 3,200 this season with a total of 10 wins.


Colville's Ella Heideman won the girl's 800 meter race by nine seconds running a time of 2:25.35.


Both Heideman and Stone were also on the winning 1,600 meter relay that ran 4:29.58.


Colville's Emily Montgomery was second in the 1,600 and third in the 800 running times of 5:40.96 and 2:43.78.


Montgomery was another contributor to Colville's 1,600 relay team.


Deer Park had top three placers in multiple distance events with the highest placers being Marion George in the 3,200 (12:27.2, 2nd) and Andrea Loos in the 800 (2:34.71, 2nd). Loos was also third in the 1,600 in a time of 5:46.86.


Jocelyn McCollough finished third for the Stags in the 3,200 running 13:12.83.


Lakeside - Nine Mile Falls was second as a team with 136 points and Freeman took third with 87 points.


Matti Erikson of L.V. Rogers, located in Nelson, British Columbia, had the top performance of the day on the boy's side with his time of 1:59.57 in the 800, which he won by 11 seconds.


Newport's Christopher Livard was second behind Erikson running 2:10.11 and Colville's Chance Lafley was third running a personal best time of 2:18.32.


Deer Park's Grant Avila was first in the 1,600 in a season best time of 4:46.06.


Tonasket's Carter Timm was second in 4:56.67 and Republic's was third in 5:05.36. Timm was also second in the 3,200 where he 11:44.3.


Newport's Connor Brown won the 3,200 in dominating fashion running 11:17.01 for the eight lap race.


St. John-Endicott-Lacrosse's placed third in a time of 11:44.57.


The Lakeside boy's won the team title scoring 124 points beating Colville who scored 109 points. Freeman was third with 67 points.
