This past winter, Emmanuel Wells Jr. was having one of the greatest athletic seasons in the history of Washington State University athletics.
While taking down multiple meet records, breaking the WSU school record in the 60 meter, and having the second fastest time in the entire nation, Wells had set himself up for a potential national championship win in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
But then the sports world began shutting down, and Wells was eventually sent back home to Seattle.
With the potential to turn pro after his senior season, Wells has decided to return to WSU next school year and hopes to claim a national championship that he's been working for the last four years and go down in WSU track and field history as one of the greatest to lace the spikes up for the Cougs.
Wells joined The Runner WA's Keenan Gray for another edition of Interviews with The Runner WA, where they discuss his time at WSU, while also looking back on his previous careers at Central Arizona College and Rainier Beach High School.
