Lynden - The Lynden boy's end the regular season with a bang as they won 2 distance events and had multiple top finishes yesterday at Lynden High School against Lakewood and Blaine.
Junior Tate Hutchins ran 1:57.63 in the 800 for the win, followed by Nick Kildall placing 2nd in 2:05.2. Isaiah Ellis and Roscoe Perry tied for the 1st in the 1600 both going 4:48.22 for the Lions. Carson VanCleve placed 2nd in the 3200 with a personal best time of 11:01.93.
Blaine's top performer in the boy's meet was Malachi Crump in the 1600 finishing 4th with a personal best, 5:07.27.
In the girl's meet, senior Kornelija Houston won the 800 as she ran 2:33.04. Houston beat Lakewood's Jessika Smith by 5 seconds. Freshman Kaylee Despain won the 3200 in 16:21.43 for the lady Lions.
Taylee McCormick of Blaine was the Borderites top girl in the 800 and 1600 running 2:47.32 and 6:06.8.
