Bellingham - After a week of break for all Whatcom County school's, kids return to the books and more importantly, they return to track. There is only one local meet in the area this week, but if your willing to drive south or go to the east side of the mountains, here are the meets to attend this week to watch our schools.
Wednesday, April 11
Meridian, Nooksack Valley, Mount Baker, and Lynden Christian @ LCHS 4:00
- The annual LC 1A Northwest Conference Invite will take place at Lynden Christian for another year. The top 1A competitors from all 4 school will all face each other for 2nd time this season, the first being at the Bedlington Twilight Invite.
Saturday, April 14
Van Kuren Invite @ Cheney High School, Cheney, WA 8:30 A.M.
-The Lynden Lions will represent Whatcom County at Cheney High School and face power house schools Mead, Medical Lake, and North Central from the Spokane region.
Cashmere Invite @ Cashmere High School, Cashmere, WA 12:00
-Meridian heads to the Cashmere Invite for another year and will face multiple 1A schools, including 2 from our very own District 1 in King's and Sultan. This is a meet that does not feature the 1600 and 3200, but the 1500 and 3000 instead.
Terrace Invite @ Edmonds Woodway High School, Edmonds, WA 9:30 A.M.
-Blaine, Lummi, Nooksack Valley, and Sehome head to the Seattle area for the Terrace Invite. Other teams in this invite to be noted are Lake Washington, Juanita, Archbishop Murphy, and Anacortes.
Pasco Invite @ Edgar Brown Stadium, Pasco, WA 9:30 A.M.
-Bellingham and Sehome will send some athletes to one of the largest invites in the state of Washington, the Pasco Invite.
