Spokane, WA - Allie Janke and Erinn Hill won a combine three races for the North Central Indians yesterday, May 2, in the final Greater Spokane League meet of the season versus the Central Valley Bears and the Mead Panthers.
Janke, the fastest miler in the state of Washington on the girl's side, won the 1,600 meter race in a time of 5:22.22, followed by a personal best performance in the 800 meter race where she ran 2:21.33.
The Indians had three other girls finish in the top four in the 1,600 with Janke.
Jenna Janke was second with a personal best time of 5:29.81; Mia Hill was third running 5:36.34; Marie Taylor was fourth running 5:36.39.
Hill won the 3,200 meter race in a time of 11:31.67, winning by almost 30 seconds.
Central Valley's Savannah Pratt and Aly Tolman were second and third in the 800.
Pratt ran a season best time of 2:25.4, while Tolman ran 2:28.74.
Mead's Alexis and Alanna Parker placed second and third in the 3,200 with two personal best times of 12:00.17 and 12:07.93.
On the boy's side, Alec Kness ran 4:23.92 in the 1,600 to win by a narrow amount over Central Valley's Tyler Hunter, who ran 4:25.16.
Ryan Kline was third in the 1,600 for the Bears running 4:26.53.
Central Valley's Joey Nichols pulled off a win the 800 beating Mead's AJ Paulson by .25 tenths of a second.
Nichols went on to run 1:57.09 and Paulson ran 1:57.34, which is new personal best.
North Central's Kness was third running a time of 1:58.88.
The Bears went one through three in the 3,200 race with Sheamus Mahoney taking the win in a time of 9:40.86.
Evan Peters was second running 9:42.45 and Alex Wright was third running 9:47.57.
What's Next? Mead will be hosting it's Twilight Invite tonight with Central Valley, North Central, and the rest of the Greater Spokane League schools.
