Vancouver, WA - Trout Lakes' Justin and Laurel Peck won the 1,600 meter boy's and girl's races yesterday, March 25, at King's Way Christian School High School in a Trico League meet featuring host King's Way, Columbia-White Salmon, Stevenson, and Firm Foundation Christian.
Justin Peck ran a season best of 4:51.39 in the boy's race, winning by almost 30 seconds over the next finisher, which was Columbia's Ethan Andrews who ran 5:20.99. Trout Lake's Shane Pearson was third in a time of 5:33.11.
Pearson was also third in the 800 as he ran a personal best time of 2:32.88.
Andrews won the 800 boy's race later on running a season best time of 2:20.40.
Dylan Meuhlbauer, teammate of Andrews, placed second in the 800 running 2:26.51.
Laurel Peck won the girl's race running a personal best time of 6:25.33 beating King's Way's Danielle Krippner (6:28.41) by three seconds.
Ivy McDonald from Columbia was third in the 1,600 running 6:42.05.
Stevenson's Isabella Spencer won two races in the girl's 800 and 3,200 running two personal best times of 2:47.64 and 12:37.2.
Savanna Woody (13:47.88) of King's Way and Joanna Peck (14:41.21) of Trout Lake were second and third in the girl's 3,200.
Columbia's Dylan Hainline won the boy's 3,200 all by himself running a personal best time of 12:48.55.
Firm Foundation's top runner was Bradly Sinclair in the 800 boy's race where he placed fifth in 2:39.56.
King's Way, Stevenson, and Firm Foundation will be in action again at Castle Rock High School and Columbia will be hosting a meet on April 10. Trout Lake will be at the Jeff Agar Memorial Invite on April 13.
