Bellingham - After a successful invite last Friday at Lynden High School, the Squalicum Storm distance team came back today at Civic Stadium with more victories on both sides against Mount Baker and Nooksack Valley as the Storm boy's won 2 races and the girl's won 1 race.
Squalicum Sophomore Joe Brodeur would come from behind to win the 1600 beating out Nooksack's Logan Clabaugh in 4:53. Clabaugh would have the lead the first 2 laps of the race, but Brodeur would take control of the race mid way through the 3rd lap and would never look back. Clabaugh ended up running 4:56 with a 2nd place finish. Mount Baker's top finisher was freshman Nico Johnson as he ran 5:08.
The other winner from the Storm on the boy's side was senior Jonah Salomon as he won the 3200 in convincing fashion running a personal best time of 10:30. After running a solid 1600 race last Friday in Lynden, Salomon came through his 1st mile in 5:08 and then his 2nd mile in 5:22. Nooksack's Claubaugh came in 2nd with a personal best time of 11:25.

Moving to the girl's meet, Nooksack senior Alyce Harlan would go on to win 2 races for the second time this year winning the 1600 and 3200. Harlan ran a season best 5:30 in the 1600 and 13:06 in the 3200. Harlan has now won a total of 5 races this spring between the 1600 and 3200.
