Boise, ID - 3A state champion Kamiakin and 4A runner up Central Valley boys cross country teams have punched their tickets for Nike Cross Nationals as they placed first and second in the 5,000 meter championship race at the Nike Cross Northwest Regional Championships yesterday at Eagle Island State Park in Boise.

Braves Soul (Kamiakin), who is ranked 12th nationally, scored 86 points, while Loyal Sons of Ireland (Central Valley) scored 91 points.
Central Valley's Ryan Kline was eighth overall running 15:29.5 and Evan Peters was 22nd running 15:52.
The Loyal Sons of Ireland team, along with Kline and Peters, is comprised of Tyler Hunter (46th, 16:10.9), Joseph Nicholls (50th, 16:14.3), Sheamus Mahoney (61st, 16:21.7), Damon Sheneman (113th, 16:49.5), and Calvin Whybrew (167th, 17:47.2).
Ryan Child (9th, 15:33.6), Porter Grigg (26th, 15:56.9), and Stanford Smith (27th, 15:57.9) were Braves Soul top runners.
Also from Braves Soul heading to nationals are Issac Teeples (52nd, 16:16.5), Jax Weide (59th, 16:20.5), Andrew Larson (86th, 16:35.6), and Cameron Gutierrez (138th, 17:07.3)
4A individual state champion Joe Waskom from Mount Si High School qualified as an individual finishing fourth with a time of 15:17.7.
North Central's Wil Smith also qualified for nationals as an individual placing 5th and running 15:18.3.
In the girls race, 4A state champion Ella Borsheim (17:41) from Bellarmine Prep and 4A runner up Julia David-Smith (17:42.3) from Issaquah are advancing to nationals as individuals after placing third and fourth in the championship race.
Nike Cross Nationals will be held in Portland at the Glendoveer Golf Course on Dec. 1, with the girls race beginning at 10:05 a.m., followed by the boys race at 11:35 a.m..
